Twitch tweeted out a video today introducing a new and exciting feature that will allow you to buy games right on the website. The feature will be made available to all channels where if they are playing a supported game, a Buy Now button will appear beneath their stream. However, only Partners will be eligible to receive 5% of revenue from the sales. Viewers will be able to purchase the game and download it either through the Twitch Launcher or another platform like UPlay. A cool bonus for viewers is they will also receive additional loot from Twitch Crates included in their purchases. This special loot can include exclusive emotes, chat badges, or even Bits.
To start, Twitch is working with Ubisoft, tinyBuild, Paradox Interactive, Trion Worlds, Telltale games, and several other major and indie publishing companies to support selling their games on Twitch. The feature has a scheduled release date for Spring 2017. For Twitch Partners,
